I will compile a list of currently known ships of significance (where characters can/are to be stationed). Not all are military. If any ship or crew member is missing just let me know
I've added general statistics to each ship to give those without a great deal of military know-how an idea of how well each ship fairs. This isn't an RPG of any kind, but these stats will be used to determine the successes and failures of various ships depending on the scenarios they encounter throughout the RP.
The first line states the ship's class, which can be explained in better detail in the Battlestar Galactica Vocabulary section under "Ship Classes".
The next two lines are Technology Rating and Reliability. Technology Rating basically is determined by how old the ship is technologically speaking which has adverse effects on it's other stats. Reliability indicates how old the ship is in general, which also changes stats. If you have a 50 year old ship and overhaul it with all of the greatest bells and whistles, it'll still be relatively unreliable and susceptible to potential failures in a crisis. Galactica and Atlantia are both old ships and as seen in the show, Galactica can take a hell of a pounding but it tends to suffer various power failures from time to time.
Reliability Rating and Technology Rating are determined by negative numbers or zero. If a ship is significantly out of date or old, they will have high negative numbers. If it's only slightly out of date it will have a number closer to zero. If the ship is perfectly up to date, it will have a zero for the Tech Rating or Reliability Rating.
Damage Rating (beneath Reliability Rating and Technology Rating) is basically applied as follows. Zero means the ship has no damage and any negative number indicates how much damage the ship has and begins to degrade all other stats on the ship. Even crew capacity can go down as certain decks and areas of the ship have to be closed off due to hull breaches.
The first number after a designated value will be green. This is the number that the ship has before any negative values, or basically when the ship was new. If that number has a strikeout going through it and a number of red follows, that shows the actual ship stats and that it has a adverse affects on it due to the ship's age and technology.
The points are determined out of 10. A ship with 7.5+ in a stat is exceptional in that area while a ship with 2.5 or less points isn't all that hot.
The size value is only used to compare it's size to other vessels.
Crew capacity basically just gives an estimated number of how many people, military or otherwise, can live comfortably on the vessel.
Cylon Vessels
(Generic) Baseship - The massive space-faring fortresses known as Baseships.
