Full Name: Jarathor Tomanar Tabicchius
Nickname: Jarathor, Tomanar
Profession: Jedi Weapon-Master
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 215
Species: Human
Eye color: His right eye is red, but his left eye is blue
Skin/Fur color: Dead white.
Hair color: Platinum blond--almost white
Markings: None of note
Birthplace: Unknown
General Appearance: His facial expression is almost always severe and harsh. Despite how much time he spends under whatever sun he happens to be under, his complexion never tans. He wears the flowing black robes of a Jedi, though with the amount of weapons and equipment he wears at any given time, his robes could hardly be considered "flowing".
Over his right shoulder is strapped what appears to be a very ornate vibro-claymore. Over his left shoulder is strapped a DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle. On his left hip is a Jengardin double-bladed vibroblade. At his left hip is a DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. Tucked into each of his knee-high boots is an additional vibro-shortsword.
Personality: He fights hard to keep his emotions in check, though sometimes it ends up being a losing battle. He walks a fine line between the Light Side and the Dark Side, though he prides himself on remaining free-willed... He does constantly feel the pull of the Dark Side, and those who're sensitive will recognize immediately the cold taint of corruption within his soul...but will also recognize that the corruption that holds him isn't all-consuming, but kept in constant and tight check.
The outward results of this constant struggle are that he tends to seem very quiet and withdrawn, and when he does speak, it tends to be short and to the point. If others are bogged down in debate over a course of action, he also has a bad habit of just engaging in the course of action he thinks is best. He's still alive today, so this impulsiveness obviously has yet to fail him.
Field(s) of expertise: (Also listing his major Force abilities...) Melee and ranged combat, piloting various kinds of starcraft, computer usage, telekinetics, Force Lightning, Emptiness (sorta like a combination of meditation and astral projection; one projects one's soul into the Force, can communicate with it, etc), Aura of Fear, Lightsaber combat, telepathy, and empathy.
History: A lot of his earliest history is a blur. His first clear memories were of being apprenticed to a Sith, a pawn of the Empire. When Jarathor's dark master sensed the presence of a Light Jedi, he used the Dark Side to conceal both Jarathor's and his own presence. He sealed young Jarathor's memories, including memories of who his dark master was, and locked them deep inside the boy's soul... To someone sensing the boy, he would seem a rather adept Force sensitive, with just a hint of darkness buried deep inside himself. He then gave Jarathor the name Tomanar, and sent the confused sleeper agent out to meet the Jedi...
As expected, the Jedi eventually took young Tomanar in as his pupil, and sought to teach him the ways of the Jedi. His new master, Jedi Master Tulna, taught him a great deal, but always sensed the darkness within Tomanar, and was always on his guard...
Finally, one day, Tulna meditated with Tomanar. He effectively reached into the young man's soul, and "re-united Jarathor with Tomanar". Memories came rushing back to him, though they were still hazy at best... He still couldn't recall who his former dark master was, nor could he remember where he had hidden, but having spent several years with Master Tulna, now, he made the decision to continue down the path of the Jedi...
Tulna, however, told Tomanar he would need to complete his training on his own. His parting words were, "I have faith in you... All you need to complete your training are to build your own lightsaber and to find yourself." With that, Tulna left, to join the Rebellion's efforts.
Angry at being abandoned by two masters, now, Jarathor set out on his own journeys... He apparently did build a lightsaber, though noone knows of its whereabouts at this time, and he keeps it a closely-guarded secret... He joined the Rebellion, hoping to meet Master Tulna again, but never did. He sought to cleanse himself of the taint of the Dark Side of the Force, but every time he came close to coming completely clean, he would lose his temper or lose himself in the heat of a battle, and need to start over again...
He finds most Dark Jedi to be worthless pawns of the Sith, and gladly seeks most of them out to destroy them...but now that the Empire is crumbling, he is finding fewer and fewer reasons to live. When one lives to fight, what purpose is there to live in a universe with fewer and fewer enemies?
Starship: None of his own.
Other Notes: This was my very first role-playing character. I did such a fine job of rp'ing that our GM "rewarded" me by taking a great deal of creative liberties with my history. I will be keeping to those modifications, but I want to wait to reveal them until an appropriate time in-character. X3
