The Pit is closed until further notice.
((There will be several different areas of play. All threads are open to jump into at any time, with the exception of a fight. When you are leaving an area, please put an OOC note that you have left the area to save on confusion. Thanks and enjoy!))
Jasmine sat by a forest pool, soaking her tired feet in the cool water. She'd been scouting out possibilities for her next few raids all day. She didn't much care for spending her day spying, but it was better than being in the Pit under Zopa's gaze.
I'm never going to get this all paid off. I wonder if I could manage to get far enough away that he wouldn't bother with me anymore. Probably not. He'd have his goons catch me before I got past Faircastle.
Sighing, the young fox stood to her feet. She knew Zopa was getting impatient with her lack of payments, but there just weren't as many riches to be had in the area as there used to be. her options were getting fewer and fewer.
Suddenly her thoughts were distracted by the thumping sound of a small object tumbling down the hill from the road above her. Looking around, she saw that it was a very ornate wood pipe. She picked it up and looked around for the owner as she hurried up to the road. No one came down after the pipe, but a black carriage was rolling along down the road.
Maybe my luck just changed...
Pocketing the unwanted pipe, Jasmine followed the carriage, keeping to the bushes and trees so she would not be seen.
In the carriage, a young wolf sat, looking very bored. He was just returning from a business meeting. He had chucked the pipe out of the window in frustration over some pressing business matters.
"Bah, it wasn't a very good pipe anyway. Maybe I'll go to the Pit tonight."
Trusting his driver to pay attention to the road, he was unaware that they were being followed. The carriage turned down a little used path and soon they were pulling through the gates to his mansion.
"Ahh, home sweet home..."
The rich young wolf hurried into his home, eager to get ready for the nights' fights.
