"Status report?"
"All crewmates accounted for."
"Good; get them to the Arbortoreum for me to greet them."
"Aye, sir."
At that, Kaien-a young Thylacine male removed from the breeding program due to sterility-turned to a hallway on the left, taking a tram to the back to get the engineers, who were mos tlikely workign too loudly to hear Orpheus announcement.
Orpheus himself soon entered the bridge, giving an "at ease" to the workers who were making the final preperations for the new pilots and navigators. Orpheus-or Captain Hangar, as he was to be known as formally-entered the Captain's seat in front of the pillar in the Bridge that splittedthe back of the room into a pair of staircases. A holographic control panel overlayed the old-fashioned keys, and a few keystrokes later the itnercom was connected.
"Attention all on board: the crew of the Harbinger is to report to the ships' Arbortoreum while local security and maintenance make their final runs. I repeat..."
"Looks lke it's showtime." A deep, slightly raspy voice echoed through a filter, a highly advanced XV-25 Stealthsuit uncloaking, the "face" ulling back and dropping down as the shell split down the middle, sliding to the sides to reveal the face of a gruff, wel-built middle-aged cheetah, the infamous Colonel Felix. Stepping back into a dock, the armor seemed to peel away before he stepped out, wires and such disconnecting from the cyberized ports on his body as he proceeded with his fellow security team members.
A buzzing sound could be heard darting back and forth as Lynn-one of the arthropods of the ship-was rather hard to get into hearing range as Kaien soon learned. "Lynn! Ms. Lynn!" The thylacine stood, annoyed, then stomped poutily. "LYYYNN!"
"No need to yell."
Kaien stumbled back and landed flat on his ass from the surprise. "R-r-round up the rest of the Engineers; Capatin Hangar's called us to the Arbortor-"
A sharp whistle interuppted him as Lynn flew towards the engines. "Yo! Arbortoreum in five!"
"..That'll do, I suppose..." Kaien said as he stood and dusted himself off, turning and leaving for the tram once more.
Meanwhile, Orpheus couldn't help but stare out at the planet before them; Mars really was a beautiful planet, be it from orbit or Earth. He looked around, stars, the occassional asteroid, and their Sun easily visible from the Harbinger's bridge, the entire ship docked to an Aerotech space station orbiting the red planet. "Today's the day..."

Orpheus's announcement was heard clearly over the intercom in the stillness of the medical wing. The pink, four-tailed kitsune, known as May, gave a soft sigh, pushing rectangular specs back in place and fixing any loose strands of soft lilac hair back into the neat bun. "Mon dieu.." She said softly in her natural French dialect, then muttered while making sure everything was in place and that she at least looked decent, "I can't believe it's almost time. ...I wonder what the rest of the crew is like." With that said, and everything to her liking, she left to the Arbortoreum.
The sound of soft humming and muffled rock music echoed in the halls of the ship as a wild hair coloured hedgehog half walked and half danced her way down to the place previously announced. A bright green choker was wrapped around her neck, fitted hot pink tank and faded jeans forming her attire. The music came from a pair of ear buds connected to an MP3 player, her signature goggles strapped to the top of her head. And to top it off, a lollipop stick stuck out of her mouth.
"Ugh. Can't they give us more time to get settled?" Came the lucid voice of Sela as she just about finished stocking the kitchen, placing things in order and whatnot. Once finished, she shrugged off her chef coat, showing slender form dressed in a bright orange halter top and very low rider jeans. "Oh well. At least I'll get to see what sort of men will be joining us." A sly smirk danced on her lips as she exited for the Arbortoreum.

The ring-tailed beastie took a few swings and hopped up another level, grabbing her tools and stuffing them into their box. Showtime! She had already finished her maintenance runs early, sinec she had, you know, started early. Elliot grabbed her uniform top tied around her waist and slipped it on before rushing for the door. She tore by Fizz and Edmund on the way, nodding to them. She failed to notice her toolbox falling off the edge of the computer console where she set it, but no matter, she could clean that up later. She nearly ran into the beast known as "Seven", who was doing a final patrol as instructed, lumbering through the halls. A quick dodge and a hop off the wall, resting a hand on Seven's shoulder to vault, and she was off and gone!
Seven gave Elliot a look but continued onward, checking rooms and doing her standard patrol. She stopped in the sick bay, giving a nod to Kat and Sol, who were the first two she saw, before moving back out the door and onwards down the hall. She had to finish this up quickly and report for further instructions, as were her orders.
Kat was organizing her surgery tools in their storage pack, which she then lay on the mobile medical table before heading over to Sol and following her out, making sure the room was secure before they left. "So how'd you get roped into this, huh?" She followed the statement with a toothy grin. She didn't notice as Sia and Jessie walked by in the opposite direction, chatting.
"Ya know, Ah never thought Ah'd be on a ship like this, and around all you new people! Mercy. It has me more confused than a junebug in January!" Sia chittered at that. "We agree. It is very strange for us as well." Jessie blinked. "We? Hun, there's only one of yeh!" Sia nodded. "We are aware. We were part of a colony before this journey, and it is a hard habit for us to break." Jessie simply nodded, tapping open the door to her office. A few steps to her desk and she grabbed a little thing that she thought may just come in handy. Soon she was back out the door and walking towards the Arbortoreum with Sia. "What is it that you needed to collect?" Jessie grinned. "Oh, Ah needed to pick up a little toy for the meeting." With that she popped it up on her head, a headband with danglies on it which shake with each step she takes. "Should brighten up the mood, eh darlin'?" Sia chitters again with a nod as they head off for their destination.

The only janitor on a quick lunch break quickly capped the peanut butter jar and bounded out the door of the Janitorial room, which was normally unauthorized to most. Having to leap over her bucket before accidentally knocking it over and then having to clean up dirty water later, which she honestly didn’t want to do, especially over her new and shiny waxing, of which you could see your reflection in, which kind of scared a few, as that inquires to one very fastidious and DEDICATED Janitor.
Solomon, now being followed about by Kat, was heaving around a cooler-shaped box filled with refills, having just shut and securely locked the medicine ‘fridge’ with a fresh and carefully checked over supply of medical supplies, which she worked on since 5:40 in the morning. Her rebreather still in her mouth as her lined eyes turn, focusing on the Lynx woman, “They needed a field medic and I was fifth on the list, apparently I appealed well enough to the interviewers to be assigned the job.” She replied through the static of the vocalizer, which was attached to her rebreather. Which a moment later, whirred to her to indicate the water level was nearing its need to be refilled in order to continue to be of use to the water-breather’s needs.
Edmund, a Mantis Shrimp and another engineer were making sure everything was in perfect check, a Russian accent passes a question up to the rafters and piping where an insect, not in uniform, as that would have snagged on so many things, was crawling about on four legs. “How is the piping Fizz?” was one of the questions “We just got over this, synched all the bolts tighter than the a closed Clamshell, I think that this ain’t going any where anytime fast. Unless you consider a tortoise fast.” Replied a Georgian drawl as the fire ant looked down at the stomatapod, who marked this off on the clipboard. “How are the servers down there?” she asked.
“Well, we re-bolted it pretty good, so I think that engine is going to be pretty good off for a few months if not a whole year.” He replied, not looking at Fizz who was tapping the tubing now with her antennae, then climbed back down via the piping to reverse her legs and try and take a look at the schematics herself. Edmund took this opportunity to get a rag and try cleaning himself of the grease, which has turned him all but black like a Lobster. When they both heard the odd, tattle-tale of vividly flapping wings, and the quick few words that the Yellow Jacket spoke, and then Elliot zooming by like a black, gray, brown and white blurred wind, it was enough of a Que. for them to clean up and go to hear a long winded speech.
Fizz put her uniform jacket on, then re-snapping her belt around her waist, and then taking a few zipties to the arms to keep the uniform from feeling too baggy, her uniform didn’t even have the bracers as seen on the other people wearing them. Then with reversing her legs, she then became the first out the door behind Elliot, skuttling around Seven rather rapidly, giving a glance back, shuddering, then looking forward and continuing after the hyper-active Lemur.
Following behind her was none other than her companion at pipe maintenance, rolling down his sleeves to look somewhat better presentable for a crowd, still rubbing grease from the back of his head with the same rag, saying something most likely uncomplimentary in his native language, Russian.

!~OOC~! Attention paid to May and any others.[/u]
Medical Bay[/u] The sound of the new intercom being broken in, at least for the moment, was quite hard on the ears of the young Maned Wolf and Red Fox hybrid, who had just stepped into the Medical Bay to familiarize herself with the area. The whole ship intimidated her greatly, having been born in a very poor area of South America, such luxuries and technology was quite unknown to her.
Libya's ears pinned back against the back of her skull a little as she tilted her head and lifted her gaze upwards. She was standing directly under the PA speaker, which probably accounted for a great deal of the volume. Still sporting a rather large (in comparison to her body size) duffel bag, she did look almost pathetic and in need of some kind of guidance. After the initial shock of the PA announcement died down with the ringing in her ears, she pulled her paws off them and gazed into the Medical Bay room, her eyes quickly noticing the pink vixen. Though hesitant to speak out at the moment, her expression did seem to be begging for some kind of aid. If May had any kind of a motherly instinct built up inside of her, she might quickly take pity on the poor looking lass.
Upper Decks, Causeway B[/u] Having been ordered to make a security sweep of the upper decks, Sukira was currently, albeit quite bored, walking down Causeway B. As it sat, the area was suppose to be off limits to everyone and anyone, so she found the majority of the patrol to be quiet and dark. The goal of her mission was to make sure no one was up here, like they weren't suppose to be.
"Oy," she murmured quietly to herself as she exited one of the labs and locked it behind her, "That Kalte Lanze sure knows how to assign me to the weak jobs--" she added under her breath as she continued to go about her rounds.
Starboard Boarding Hatch A[/u] As head of the Security Force aboard the Harbinger, Kalte Lanze had brought it upon himself to make sure all of the passengers boarding the vessel were indeed the individuals on the manifest, and not stowaways. At the same token, having this job meant he could check the behinds of all of his future ship mates as they boarded. He knew he would love this job--
A young Cocker Spaniel and English Setter mix was currently boarding from the Boarding Hatch A on the Starboard side of the ship. Kalte Lanze made a point of stopping her quickly.
"Ah, miss, I am going to need to see your Ident. Card before letting you through," the wolf said with a toothy grin.
The small female gritted her teeth together as she stopped, quickly pulling out her identification papers and handing them to the wolf. She didn't say a word.
Kalte Lanze spent more of his time eyeing her, versus her papers, before finally nodding in approval and returning them to her. "Welcome aboard, Navigator! An announcement just indicated you were to head to the Arboretum. Please, do make yourself comfortable there with haste. The Captain does not like to be kept waiting," he commented, presenting her with an overly friendly wink.
Siasia bit the tip of her tongue briefly as she snatched her papers back from him and quickly placed them back in her duffel bag. "Heh--you sound more like a bell boy for a hotel than you do the chief of security," she commented in a modestly sarcastic tone as she lifted her bag back up onto her dainty shoulder and walked on by him.
Kalte Lanze grinned and gave her a playful salute, "Yes ma'am--" was all that he would say as he quickly turned to watch her "shake" as she withdrew from the Hatchway. In doing so, he most likely did leave his actions open to the prying eyes of the next individual in line.
Hanger Deck A[/u] Mikari, a young Raccoon, was hastily making observation checks on the current fighter ships docked in the Hanger Deck. She had taken it upon herself to make these checks after completing her assigned tasks, as she had always been more interested in engines than checking to make sure the light switches worked in the bathrooms. She currently found herself with her upper half buried in the starboard engine bay of one of the fighters, making very close checks to every part and every connection. She was a perfectionist when it came to engines, even if the craft were practically fresh off the production lines. Thankfully, the mechanics' suspenders she was currently wearing kept the very loose fitting pants she had on from falling off her slender form as she lost herself in her work. In a state like this, she became totally oblivious to the world around her, even the other knuckle draggers on deck at the time with her.
Causeway Outside of Arboretum[/u] Having been one of the first individuals on board, Lt. Darfix Panzer, a rather punctual fox by nature, took it upon himself to arrive fifteen minutes earlier than the recommended time. After taking a brief tour of the deck his quarters was on, he had started towards the Arboretum before the announcement had even been made. In fact, he was just putting his paw on the keypad attached to the entrance of the Arboretum as the announcement was ending. He would more likely than not be the first pilot to enter.

Zaos sighed, finishing his rounds as the announcement came buzzing over the intercom.
"Hmm... Best hurry, don't really want to be late."
Zaos laughed a little under his breathe while he began rummaging for his belongings out of a nearby locked. Quickly slipping into a loose fitting gray hooded t-shirt of sorts, he clamped the large metallic buckle around his neck, moving the tag of his black leather collar out of the way as he did so.
"Much better now..."
He chuckled again reaching back into the locker and grabbing a large black leather bound book along with a set of pencils of varying densities. Also grabbing a small black MP3 player at the same time, slipping the large headphones on he smiled, flicking on one of his favorite tunes as he turned and jogged out of the room.
"Today's a good day."
He grinned, turning down another corridor toward the Arbortoreum.

Emmanuel was technically off duty, so he was swigging a drink every now and then, which he nabbed from the bar on his way to the hanger deck, and was dressed in his casual boot-cut jeans and flannel shirt instead of the orange uniform, but nonetheless, he was checking up on the ships and their engines. God forbid he'd take his eyes off 'em, miss something and be the cause of the crew's doom. The announcement rang in his ears rather loudly and made him coil back with a cringe. Getting up to head on out and disposing of the empty beer bottle, he tapped his shirt pocket containing the tranquilizer pills as if to make sure they were still there. For later; it would be dangerous to take them now. Covered in bits of grease and oil but either not noticing or caring, Em sauntered on towards the exit, but stopped at spotting a coon butt--er, tail. "Hey there, hon, are you comin'?" he peered in to get a closer look at what she was doing as well as a peek at her face; talking to a butt was just unfriendly.
Nellie, meanwhile, was still at the newly stocked bar where Em left her earlier, admiring the shelves of liqueurs with doting eyes. The possum's quavering hand was reaching for a bottle of her favorite drink just as the voice came on over the intercom. She rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. Of all times, why now? "Oh, well. Another drink ain't gonna do me any harm, is it?" she coaxed herself on in her drawl and quickly snagged the bottle of sparkling liquid. She would certainly be late for this meeting.
Shanaelen was really anxious about meeting new people and was worried about first impressions with a crew she'd be spending a very long time with. Already dressed in uniform, she paced back and forth in her room, trying to think calming thoughts. This was normal behavior for her since she feared crowds and... strangers in general. But it would seem odd for someone into psychology who joined the crew to deal in communications and foreign language. After a few deep breaths, she exited the room and nearly dashed down the hallway, looking under her feet but not ahead. Wham! She jolted back a step and realized that she had run into someone. The poor victim, a tame silver fox who was still but a child, collapsed on the floor and was rubbing the back of his head. "I'm so sorry!" gasped Shani, as she reached down to pick him up and dust off his clothes, his typical purple attire. "T-thank you, but I'm fine. Really." He stammered, wondering to himself if what he said was true since he was still startled. Picking up his light Russian accent, Shani smiled. "О, ты говоришь по-русский?" The todd nodded, "Да, я родом из Новосибирска. Меня зовут Илья." "А я Шанейлен. Правда, глупое имя." "Нет, красивое!" Smiling and wagging his tail like an exited little puppy, Ilya took Shani's paw in his and led the way towards the Arboretum. "Идём, быстрей," he urged, and Shani couldn't help smiling like a little cub herself.
As they walked along, hand in hand, they passed Connie on their way. Ilya couldn't take his eyes off her. He turned his head all the way around and kept looking back at her as they went on. She was undoubtedly the prettiest rabbit lady he had ever seen.
Souley emerged from his freshly filled tank, flexed his muscles, as always, and ambled out into the hallway towards the Arboretum, even though he'd rather get acquainted with the kitchen and the food storage first. Just then he happened to pass Dalvis. She had just gotten done re-cleaning the floors and stopped for a peanut-butter lunchtime. "Ey, good job! Dese floors are lemony fresh," he said, giving a pat on her shoulder with one of his hands, simply by stretching it father than it would normally be imagined to go. To him it wasn't the reflection on the shiny floor that mattered but how sweet it felt to walk on, and this was a super kind of clean, he could tell. Hmm, she sort of tasted like peanut-butter and blueberry jam. He wondered whether he'd get the chance to shake hands with all of the crew members.
Vidya fluttered about the bio lab in excitement, inspecting the equipment. It was so clean, so shiny, of the most advanced kind! Up till now, she paid no attention to any of the other people there. Flicking her head around, she spotted another biologist. "Hey!" she waved and hopped over to him. "How are you? Fine, I'm sure. How do I look? Pretty good, no?" she twirled around in her uniform, minus the boots, and fluffed her hair feathers out of the loose ponytail they were in. She didn't wait for a reply; she knew she was simply stunning as always. "Well, time to go see the captain. K, thanks, bye~!" and with that, she was out the door.

Rissa had woken from his rest cycle still in his uniform, he hadn't left this bit of clothing since he got it. The young genet was very ancious to get going and he flopped out of bed falling with a soft pad sound as he hit. He quickly bolted out of his quarters and to the biological area, running checks on the plants around viewing their status on the screens around the room. He spoke to the computer as he noticed a few of his plants needed a little tweaking. "Computer, adjust the temperature up .84 degrees in biochambers 2 and 7, activate sprinkler systems in 3 and 5 and deactivate solar lamps in 4 please." Rissa jumped a bit as he heard someone else in the room, Vidya had surprised him slightly, but he smiled upon seeing her. "Hello there, yes I am fine, very ancious to get going with this mission. As for how you look, I would say very lovely, never met someone quite like you before, your feathers are very beautiful, quite colorf......." That was all he could really get out before the Mayura vanished out the door. He continued to analyze the data from the computers and check and recheck the plants and animals filling this room, the animal specimens holding little of his interest however, hopefully the other biological analyst had a better rapport with them.

Khalfani and his twin sister, Amira, walked down the corridors, checking the connections for any kind of flaw before the vessel left port. For as much as they could tell, every system was running at peak efficiency. After the systems check, they retired to their office, where they typed their reports, sending them up to the Commander.

The intercom came on once more, this time not as shrill as last time now thatit had been broken-in. "Tis is Captain Orpheus Hangar; all crew members are to report to the Harbinger's Arbortoreum for orientation and to recieve your new uniforms. I repeat..."
Orpheus groaned after cutting off the intercom, placing his left hand on the console before him and then reached up, gripping and rubbing his forehead. "Please...PLEASE don't let anythign go wrong..." he said to himself before reaching into his jacket and taking out a small container, popping it open and removing a couple if pills before tilting his head back and swallowing them and sighing. "Calm down, Orpheus....calm down..." After a moment longe rhe shoo his head and then brushing his hair back with his rihgt hand, standing up and heading towards the Arbortoreum himself to meet the rest of the crew.

Areith awoke with a start hearing the intercom spark to live again, he shifted quickly in his seat, so quickly in fact that it rolled back on it's wheels and fell to the ground, his head smacking the cold metal hard. He stood and shook his head for a second rubbing the back of it. "Damn chairs!" He kicked the chair back into position and continued to rub his head as he walked over to the sink, he poured himself a glass of water and gulped it down. "Well I suppose I better be on my way, don't want to keep anyone waiting." He moved to the door throwing on his jacket, the weathered leather covering his wings, the long tails of the coat covering the rest. He moved out of the computers area and down the hall towards the Arboretum to meet with the others. He passed doors and people, none of which he has met yet, he hasn't even met the other computer techs yet. He made it there and stood in the corner waiting for the rest to arrive.

Rissa turned as he was reading a book, he was ready to go for this adventure, but had only met one person so far and looked forward to meeting more. Rissa grabbed his uniform, even though the captain had called them for uniform assigning, he had gotten one already, he was one of the early models for his size and his area type so he had his already. Rissa made one more quick check of the terrarium containment in his room to check on his friends, yes it was odd that he considered them friends, however he hadn’t had real good friends in quite some time, he didn’t often trust people after what happened in his life. He had a gift for talking to plants and they were his friends, he waved goodbye and turned to walk out the door, unfortunately the clumsy genet tripped over his own feet and fell to the ground, he may as well have landed on his nose judging by the blood that oozed from it
“Oh for the love of daisies!” He screamed at no one in particular, gripping his face. Rissa wasn’t really good at cursing, he just spouted random things that sounded like curses when he was upset. The genet ran to the bathroom area of his quarters and grabbed a towel, his towels were black so it didn’t show as bad, he cleaned himself up and shoved some shreds of lavatory tissue up his nose to stop it from bleeding. “I’ll get it out before I get there, can’t bleed all over the place.” He said, again speaking to himself, and quickly turned to leave, making sure to keep steady on his feet this time. He bolted out the door and down the halls, after quite a few minutes of walking he arrived at the Arboretum and stood in a corner, again he wasn’t easily accepting of new people at first, and the fact that he forgot the tissues in his nose probably wouldn’t help either. Rissa stood in the corner with his hands firmly clasped behind his back, he stood straight, his tail curled lightly against his leg keeping it out of the way.
Rissa began talking, no one was really close to him but he spoke anyways “What? No we’ve gotta meet these people, the captain said so…..you just pipe down……what? Shh SHH! People are coming” He reached up quickly and pushed the small vine back into the concealed breast pocket of his uniform, little did he know his friend was trying to warn him of the tissues in his nose and he waited to see who was coming.

Once her hair was fixed and she turned to leave, the femme stopped, noting the young wolf/fox hybrid. A soft smile lit her face, the four, fluffy kitsune tails beginning to sway gentle. "Ah, bonjour, little one. May I help you?" May's soft voice gave a kind, loving tone, since she adored children. She supposed the meeting would have to wait, but was sure no one would mind a bit of tardiness.
Stryke idly twirled the lollipop around in her mouth, currently techno-ish music drowning out any surrounding sounds as she neared a turn in the hall. Oblivious, she turned it, unfortunately directly into Zaos's path. "Ah! Hey!" She shrieked as she bumped into him, the ruby candy almost falling out while wheeling back a few steps. Pulling the buds from her ears once she recovered, the hedgehog quickly came back, running a hand through her bright quills, "Oops! Sorry about that, man. You okay?"
Sela let her thumbs hook onto the rim of her jeans as she made her way to the Arbortoreum, noting the wide diversity of species and personalities of the crew. "Wow. Lot of cuties aboard." She smirked lightly, her long, prehensile tail curled up neatly behind. "Shame I'll be stuck in the kitchen and not behind the bar like that possum girl." But she gave a mental shrug, turning down the hall and reaching the meeting place.

Zaos tumbled to the ground as Stryke bumped into him. His large headphones falling off his head and hitting the ground as he landed flat on his rear. "Owww..."
He sighed, getting up slowly, rubbing his behind. "Note to self... watch where I'm walking."
Laughing he turned a little, facing Stryke and smiling as she asked if he was ok. "Hmm? Yeah I should be fine. Just landed on my pride is all."
Laughing again, he bent down picking up his head phones, sticking them around his neck. Turning to Stryke again he extended a hand. "I'm sorry about bumping into you... I should have watched where I was walking. I don't think we've met before, I'm Zaos. It's nice to meet you."

Lu let an exhausted breath pass from that narrow muzzle of his, upon setting down with a gentle clatter a box full of glass vials and containers he'd need upon the venture into space. He had to admit he couldn't wait to launch, he was shaking with excitement, even though he was a bit nervous about going into space. So many things could go wrong and what if.. no. He shouldn't think about it. This was a chance of a lifetime. He was on board for the greatest adventure of his life!
Resting against the metal table for a moment or two, the young scientist decided that it was finally time to start unpacking, looking to the few boxes he'd brought in. Opening up the first box, he smiled in greeting at his friends, as several emerald shoots sprang from the box." My Friends..."he breathed out in joy as he took a moment to straighten out their leaves." I'm so glad you decided to come with me I would be so alone if it weren't for you." Hearing the metallic tone in the intercom as the message to assemble soon sounded, the young doctor gave a soft groan as he looked toward the door. " Well.... I'll be catching up with you in a bit, my Friends." he said as he set them upon the table. Leaning against the the crutch looped about his arm , he shivered staring at the door a moment more." There will be lots of them out there.." Closing his eyes he swallowed gently and shook his head, as he took his first step toward the door. He was nervous around crowds, he was a bit of a klutz in the social world. Ah well...perhaps this trip could help him change that. As he strolled from the lab and made his way to the gathering, his false leg hissed gently as the gears turned, the doctor limping on to the crutch, making a strange little tune as he traveled down the hall.
