Can you reserve a spot in computers for me, please?

Looks like you made it just in time (and looks like all the computer techs survived X3) cause I'll be closing this crew list from any more additions. Well, I might leave a spot for one more, but 15 crew members would be quite a lot.

Done!
The lack of janitorial indicates that they were either very weak or stupidly brave, most likely the former. XP

I'd vote for both myself. I mean, I'd want to help my friends, which by then they all probably are, but at the same time I'm not very strong. Probably get myself killed trying to save people XD

yeah...we should probably even make Civillian a choice for the Cygnus-even though I've already decided what their cargo is, the reason they were ambushed in particular (I'll get a link to the pic late rif oneof you reminds me XD)

A lot of ships would most likely have civilians, so that makes sense o.o Since space flights would be a lot longer than, say, ocean journies, I bet people's families would come along for the ride. Which, of course, makes what happened that much more tragic <.<;;

I don't know if space piracy would be that organized at that time in the future--
Realistically, space piracy would probably only begin to form that level of organization around the time humanity is able to colonize several planets and moons in the solar system, and where there is plenty of very lightly inhabited moons and such to strike from.

I think that's already started. I thought I remember Kep mentioning something about possibly picking up people as they pass by planets, and that sort of thing. That would imply they can in fact colonize already. I think that the Harbinger is the first space journey outside of the solar system?

Yes, the Harbinger's the first one to truly leave the Solar System. the FURTHEST colonies so far are a few labs and in-construction ones around Saturn, while the innermost are mobile research labs on Mercury...also, theoretically, they could've "cleaned up" a bit fo the asteroid belt, leaivng mostly larger ones...a few of which could be hiding hijacked/outdated space stations rigged with new gear for said pirates/bandits to use. also, a number of them would be disguised as normal vessels, making them that much easier to sneak around.

I didn't say "that they are capable of colonization", I said that "colonization is already blooming quiet rapidly", or at least something to that effect I'm not going to oppose the idea if it is used, I'm just saying that based on logical reasoning and rather educated guesses and calculations suggest that space piracy would probably not be at all wide spread or organized by this time.

I guess that's up for Kep to decide.
