Posting Credits Here's the plan: People will get credits for every in-character RP post they make in the main HE RP. A good, long post in which characters are taking initiative will receive more credits than normal. If the post is poorly written or took over a week to write, it will receive less credits than normal. Then those credits can be used to get free pictures of your characters and whatnot. I will be the teller and keep count of how many credits each person has earned and used. How many credits you get for... Bad Post – 0cPoorly written, mistakes in spelling/grammar, too short Took over a week and held up the others Didn't try to involve other people's characterAcceptable/tolerable Post – 1cWeak sentence structure Bad punctuationNormal post – 3cAt least a paragraph long, checked for spelling/grammar Posted within a week of the previous posterGood post – 5cLong, detailed Characters take initiative and involve others No crackpot, plot-violating ideas without consent of involved partiesWhat you can spend credits on... An avatar – 3c (maybe this will encourage me to get them all done XP)A sketch – 10c A colored pic – 15c Be a mod for a month – 25c Open your own RP sub-board – 50c (cause we really are overflowing with them)Do an incredible stunt of bad-assery in your next post – 100c Powerplay/godmode in your next post – 200c Get your (male or female) char a date with Orpheus – 300c The plan goes into action at the start of the next round, beginning with Vap's next post.

Well, 200 is a lot, considering you can only get a max of 5 per post. We're talking 40 posts minimum, Chelle o.o
And considering the nature of the main RP, a powerplay for a post likely won't do much. Besides, there are certain rules to follow with that too. Say someone swoops your character in for a kiss. The act of pulling them in and kissing them is a godmode action. Ok, so they forced you into a kiss. On your next post, feel free to knee them between the legs ^_^ By the rules of common sense, if they've pulled you that close, it's like a free shot.
So yeah, even with that "ability", people still have to think about what they can and can't do. It'll come back to haunt them if they don't =P

I really don't care how much it costs. I do not agree with the idea that it is ever okay to godmod. The first time anyone godmods any of my characters on this system will see me leave the RP. I do not appreciate being godmodded against no matter what the circumstances are and I don't think it should ever be permitted.

And Mizzy, it's refering to how much more it'll cost for that specific detail. Say... as example... I have 25 credits. I want Shani to do me a picture, colored, involving Edmund (male character) and Sol. that would cost 19 credits. ..of course, you are a smart human being and didn't require that small bit of schooling in the fundamentals of... eh... shopping? Actually, my issue was with the positive and negative in all of... 2 places and then the use of '-' everywhere else. Because it wasn't used initially I couldn't tell if it was referring to a negative or if it was serving the same function as a colon. Reading through it again, though, wide awake. I understand it for the most part now.

I think Shani needs to step in and clarify what she means. If those last three were a joke, say so. If the system to figure out how many credits we need is confusing, fix it.

I step in here and this is what I find? Well, 200 is a lot, considering you can only get a max of 5 per post. We're talking 40 posts minimum, Chelle o.o And it is because of that, that no one is going to do it. Why save up all those credits to godmode in one post when you could've had several pics instead? Say someone swoops your character in for a kiss. The act of pulling them in and kissing them is a godmode action. I understand how Tropi could've gotten confused here and I agree with her calling it "taking initiative" and not "godmoding". It is a forcible action. But it is also an action that you have no way of evading unless you pull an incredible stunt of bad-assery and somehow foresee it coming and leap out of the way at the speed of sound. I don't even see a point in asking (unless it's something serious) if it's in-character for the char to do. For example, Em would pull in for a kiss no matter what warnings you'd give me OOC A true godmode incident would be when someone forces an action on you (and sometimes even your reaction) when you had the time and ability to react. I really don't care how much it costs. I do not agree with the idea that it is ever okay to godmod. The first time anyone godmods any of my characters on this system will see me leave the RP. I do not appreciate being godmodded against no matter what the circumstances are and I don't think it should ever be permitted. Chelle, hun, what Tropi said is right. Those last three, more expensive services are a joke. As for being a badass and pulling some stunts, I suppose that depends on the character and the role he plays, so that is allowable. And guys, don't take everything so seriously. Or else I'll have to implement a new rule on y'all Causing drama = -10 credits!

And Shani, I think that may have just been confusion on the definition of Godmoding between different people. My typical definition is anything that directly affects a character's current actions without the ability to in some way prevent said action. So a post of "pulls such and such in and kisses them" is a godmoding action, but a post of "attempts to pull such and such in to kiss them" isn't. That's a very literal case, but it's how I've always defined it. *shrug* I think that more comes from my history of RP combat. An attempted action allows abnegation and affirmation. :3 So yeah, I think that was more of a miscommunication than anything else But yeah, the point still stands. I know that I'd prefer to get tons of pics out of you, rather than one of those XD

Yea, just a confusion. I would accept both forms since it's really one of those actions that can't be magically avoided unless the nature of the RP gives the chars that ability. It would also depend on who's trying to get away with it: if it's a shorty, she most likely won't reach and the victim would have every chance to evade it Too often, however, people are afraid to make a move, especially one of physical contact, with another character. It makes RPs stale and look more like a school play reading a script than an action packed episode of a series. But I think we can all agree that none of us like godmoding. Who does? It's not something that even should've been argued about unless an act of godmoding was committed :B

Like so:
Eden: *skids to a halt, takes up Shani's hand ever so gently, and kisses it tenderly and Repeats this action with May too, then he quickly flees the scene before either girls can get their wit back about them.*
