Precisely, if we didn't have individuals taking the initiative to post some humor, people probably would have given up on the RP ages ago.
I think we need a pretty harsh/strict "purging" of people who are not active or slightly inactive without posting as to why.
That'd speed things up and they can always rejoin again later as slackers. In Battlestar Galactica, you don't see all of the same faces every day, some chars go several episodes or more without getting any parts.

Aww Chelle, hun, the only reason I ripped on ya was so that you wouldn't feel left out... I wasn't feeling at all left out of your humor to begin with. I was quite happy that you hadn't decided to use my posts for your humor. I appreciate the inclusion, but not at the same time. Does that make sense? I appreciate that I was thought of, but I just don't appreciate being made fun of. Constructive criticism is one thing, out right making fun of is another. This is purely the latter and I just don't appreciate it. That everyone else does is fine, and I'm not worried about everyone else. This is just me and I'm not really upset or anything. If you insist, I'll leave out of my commentary from now on, but your dis-contentedness will make you less involved with the HE community. I would appreciate that very much and it's not like I'm all that involved as it is. The only one that has bothered to RP with me in the main RP is Elliot. And after all the supposed interest in the Pit, he's the only one to have bothered to make a character and get started there. (edit) the Pit, btw, has been open for sometime now, since mid-Oct.) I already feel like most of the time I'm on the outside looking in. No one but Elliot ever talks to me. And before you say anything about my character could make some effort into meeting people, doing so would be completely out of character for her. She's a loner and doesn't go out of her way to make friends. Ki on the other hand, will probably make many friends as he's the friendly type. (edit) therefore it's fine that Kaer hasn't gotten a whole lot of interaction with other people. my playing with Ki will make up for Kaer's silence and wishes to be left alone. I'm sure that will change as she's forced to meet the people she's going to living/working with for the next decade or so. I'm not really all that upset that no one has really talked to Kaer. She wasn't exactly giving off a friendly vibe. If you really wanna try to befriend Kaer, the place to do it is in the bar. She likes the bar... Making fun of my posts doesn't make me feel more involved in the slightest. As for not having anything else fun to do on the board, that can be fixed. There are plenty of posting games that can be done.

WooooahwoahwoahWOAH there!
Excuse me? I had Bandit give you a bow/nod of greetings when your character hopped in! did you not see?
Also! I want to join in the Pit, but character generation is not as simple as pushing a button. it just doesn't happen.

Ok, this goes for everyone, including you Chelle. Give it a rest. That thread is crowded, it's busy, there's a lot going on. That's bound to happen when there are a lot of people all together at the same event. Let it ride out. Let people split off and go their seperate ways, soon we'll be starting up seperate threads to have our own side stories on the ship. Just hang in there until then, people are bound to get overlooked in a situation like this ANYWAY. Think about it. If you were on a ground(...space?)-breaking voyage like this, you'd probably be excited, worried, stressed, twitchy, who knows what.
Besides Chelle, if you make a char that's a loner and doesn't attempt to make friends, what do you expect? Most people ignore the quiet corner, that's perfectly normal.
As for the Pit, Chelle you already know the issue with this. It's a brutal place. We're both experienced RP fighters, we know what's going on there. A lot of people here may not realize how involved the combat required will be. It takes a lot of time to formulate things out, it's like playing a strategy game, you have to move your opponent into a weaker position and yourself into a stronger one. It's hard to do that without godmoding, and that tends to scare people away.
In any case, just chill people. Things will work out.

I like making people laugh and if Benny can make comedy gold by using what I write then he should go for it. From what I've seen he's a nice guy who wouldn't say anything to be hurtful. I accept the humor as long as it's not intended to be malicious. By the way, when Benny said Doyle "just wanted a piece of Em's pie" did he mean that my character wanted "some" from the ladies that like Em or from Em himself?
Next, I thought Fizz's reaction to what I did was quite hilarious since I didn't expect that to happen. Making a dive-bomb under a chair like a combatant in Vietnam, Artemis and Edmund must have been like "What the?!" I can only wait eagerly until I see the others who I'm interacting with react to what I'm doing.
For the next step in the story, what should happen next with what's going on stage?

pebbles are flying, you'd dive under something too! XD Though Artimus was looking at her when the pebbles went flying so he probably would know what sent her under the chair and would deduce which direction it came from. Edmund however, the russian ox-ish mantis shrimp is goin "WTF" and is looking at Artimus like HE did it.

If you put it like that I'll just interpret it as wanting to share the wealth of women Em has. Cause really I'm not sure if Hue Hefner has that much compared to Em.

It's not Em's fault he's liked! The only one he actually has is Elliot, though.

At the Arboretum"Nyuu~" Blasting off from the seat in startlement, Yoko dove to the ground and ducked under the chair Fizz was also hiding under. "De shipu it haunted, I can say dat to you!" Those must be some big chairs. I guess who ever put the seats on board had people like Benny in mind. Geez, any more of the crew dives under chairs the others are going to think there's a bomb on board (either that or think Fizz and Yoko are playing musical chairs the wrong way).

Apparently a reviewer of my post didn't like it, which is why I scored a bit poorly. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I tried to work hard on it and just got confused since another reviewer thought it was good. I'm open to suggestions or comments on improvement.

There, in reality, are three judges of posts, Darfix, Shani, and myself. (no, we shant be moved, so don't try to bribe us. >3> )
We just didn't find it quite along the lines of perfect. Mostly because it was a run-on-sentance as well as a wall of text.
And another flaw is putting in redundant words, such as "also" at the beginning, then "too" at the end.
On another note, the seats don't have to be big for fizz to dive under, she's small, and I believe yoko is small enough they can share room underneith.
Unless, of course, none of you believe in the magic of people maintaining their marvelous ability to compact themselves in tight spaces.

Thank you for the advice. Apparently I need to punctuate more, space out paragraphs to read easier, and try to avoid redundancy as much as possible.
