Is there any rules in place to keep 2 - 3 people from posting like 25 replies to each other so those who are gone for a day don't have to read a novel and a half before replying?

I;d say use friggen common sense Don't start posting in a group thread until you're sure other people have had their turn. A couple of posts maybe is alright, but always try to hold back so other people get their chance. That's what I do o.o

Wel, I'm thinking of a posting order; basically, the order in which people post their introductiosn will be the positng order, that way the story can progress every day as people log on and off wihtout having to ait for someone who's on later to post. Also, people like Darfix adn I who are frequently online can post out-of turn, but as stated we'll use common sense and won't flood the board=P

See, the problem with a posting order is that if someone stops posting, the story dies. So it'd be good if we followed that, but loosely o.o

Here's the rule, if someone is inactive for a week their characters automatically get brain slugs attached to their heads! Just messing

Like I said, people who are online mor eoften will be allowed to make out-of-turn posts....for example, I'm on almost all day (and I'm the Captain XP), so an extra post or two would be allowed to help keep things going, but I'll also take other people's characters into consideration. (IE: Unless you're ONE HUNDRED PERCENT sure of what they're going to say or do, DON'T assume or take control of the other person's character.)

I think that characters who happen to be in an active conversation should also get to post more often.

Yes, but not 50 posts that are 5000+ characters huge. In cases like that, it might be better to do short posts and/or move the convo to another thread if there is only a few involved.
